What We Believe

At Corpe Consulting we believe in giving back and supporting communities where we can. So our Director & Co-Founder Dan will be taking on a myriad of physical challenges, pushing himself physically and mentally further than ever before and he’s doing this for our chosen charity CLASP – Counselling Life Advice Suicide Prevention. Confronting the stigma surrounding mental illness by increasing mental health awareness & reducing UK suicides. At Corpe Consulting we believe that this is the disease of the modern age and left unchecked can lead to disastrous consequences.

A shift in society

In doing some research into men’s health we were shocked to find that Suicide is the single biggest killer of men aged under 45 in the UK, with 76% of all suicides in 2014 being men

The world we occupy has become so fast paced, stressful and confusing it’s no small wonder people’s mental health is suffering. Our roles in society is changing drastically, the lines become blurred and many people are unsure how they fit in.

Unfortunately men don’t always forge a network of support and friends to talk to and often suffer in silence. Pretending everything is ok and being the ‘rock’ society believes they should be. We’re all effected by mental health in some way, at some level and we must normalise conversations about mental health. It’s ok not to be ok.

CLASP is a fantastic charity that builds networks of support and are trying to get society as a whole to start to shift their perception of mental health and remove the stigma attached.
